The propagandist claims that "Bandera Nazis" are responsible for Kirillov's death.
"Inevitable retribution awaits the Bandera Nazis, including the top military-political leadership of the dying country," Medvedev stated.
- A day earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine announced charges in absentia against Kirillov, accusing him of ordering over 4,800 chemical munitions attacks on the Defense Forces.
- On the morning of December 17, an explosion on Ryazansky Prospekt in Moscow killed Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov and his assistant, Ilya Polikarpov. The SBU is believed to be behind the operation.
