FSB claim Jehovah's Witnesses finance Ukrainian army
The FSB department in the so-called "DPR" claimed to have discovered documents indicating that Jehovah's Witnesses, banned as an extremist organization in Russia, is allegedly involved in financing the Ukrainian Armed Forces

RIA Novosti reported the information.
"During the inspection of the facility, over 20,000 copies of extremist literature were found and seized, as well as official documents containing information about the organization's involvement in financing Ukrainian armed groups," the agency said.
According to the agency, as a result of joint activities of the Russian Federal Security Service, military counterintelligence agencies and the Russian Guard, it was possible to establish the place where these papers were stored.
The agency added that a series of operational and investigative measures are currently underway to identify individuals involved in financing the Ukrainian army.
- In 2017, Russia recognized this religious organization as extremist and banned its activities, including in the occupied Crimea.
- In 2018, the prosecution of Jehovah's Witnesses began in criminal cases.
- As of August 2023, 25 Jehovah's Witnesses have been prosecuted for their religion, 6 of whom are serving prison terms.
