Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said this.

According to him, as of the morning of August 31, 97 people were injured in Russia's attack on Kharkiv, including 22 minors. Later, Syniehubov added that five children were in satisfactory condition, and a 17-year-old girl was in serious condition.

According to updated law enforcement data, 6 people were killed in Kharkiv: a girl of 18, a girl of 14, a 74-year-old woman, a 73-year-old woman, a 49-year-old man, and a woman who was the last to be unblocked, the data is being established.

At 10 p.m. on August 30, Mayor Terekhov reported: "A dead woman has just been pulled out from under the rubble in the Industrial district. Thus, the number of victims of today's enemy shelling of Kharkiv is already seven." According to the State Emergency Service, 77 people were injured, including 18 children.

At 7:53 p.m., the Regional Military Administration updated the data - the number of casualties increased to 59 people.

“Among them are 9 children aged 5 to 16. People continue to seek treatment in hospitals,” the statement said.

At 7:04 p.m., the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, said that the death toll had risen to six.

The spokesman for the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, Dmytro Chubenko, said that the number of wounded in Kharkiv had increased to 57 people, according to Suspilne as of 6:59 p.m. At that time, five people were reported dead.

Kharkiv regional council deputy Oleksandr Skoryk told Espresso that all five places of today's attack in the city were civilian objects that had nothing to do with the military.

“A 14-year-old child was just killed on a playground. Among the 57 injured people, 20 are seriously injured, some of them have already had their legs and arms amputated. These people are in quite a serious condition,” said Skoryk.

He noted that there is a possibility that there may be people under the debris, because the building was hit between the 10th and 11th floors of the entrance, so it is unknown how many people may still be under the rubble.

At 5:45 p.m., 47 civilians were reported injured and five were killed. Among the dead was a 14-year-old girl.

In total, the Russian army carried out five air strikes from the Belgorod region. The ammunition was UMPB D-30, which hit 5 locations in Kharkiv:

Industrial district. 12-storey building. Five cars were damaged. Three people were killed.

The central part of the city. Hit the ground, grass caught fire.

Industrial district. A 14-year-old child died, 4 people were injured.

Slobidskiy district. A bomb hit a warehouse building, 2 victims.

Slobidskiy district. Three houses were damaged. 6 people were injured.

According to the Kharkiv Military Administration, 20 people injured in the attack are in serious or extremely serious condition, some of them have amputations. One of the wounded died in a medical facility.

There may be people on the upper floors of the building where the shelling took place, and there is a risk of the building being destroyed. All specialized services are working in an emergency mode at the scene.

Earlier, Syniehubov reported four deaths. However, the toll has since risen to five.

At 16:23, he reported that a shell caused injuries to several people, including children. Efforts to manage the aftermath of the attack are ongoing.

Earlier, Oleh Syniehubov informed that 28 people have been wounded in the Russia's attacks on Kharkiv. He added that medics continue to work at the sites of the hits.

At 4:16 p.m., Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported three dead in a high-rise building in the Industrial district.

The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, posted a video showing the aftermath of the Russian attack.

Earlier, Ihor Terekhov reported that a child was killed as a result of Russian attack in Nemyshlyansky district.

“In Nemyshlyansky district, the Russian forces killed a child right on the playground. It was a girl. At least three more people in the area were wounded,” the mayor wrote.

He also added that in the Industrial district of the city, where the occupation Russian army damaged a high-rise building, two people have already been reported dead.

Earlier, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, informed that the enemy had damaged an educational institution in Kharkiv.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy's reaction

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to Russia's terrorist attack on Kharkiv, emphasizing that Ukraine needs long-range capabilities to be able to stop Russian terror.

“This strike was a Russian guided bomb. A strike that would not have happened if our Defense Forces had the ability to destroy Russian military aircraft where they are based. We need tough decisions from our partners to stop this terror,” Zelenskyy wrote.

  • On Friday, August 30, the Russian occupation army attacked Kurakhove in Donetsk region, hitting a three-storey residential building, an administrative building and a shop. At least 5 people were wounded in the attack.
