DPRK's troop deployment is hampered by logistical problems - military observer
Military observer Denys Popovych says that the more troops Kim Jong Un deploys to Ukraine, the more problems he will have with logistics
He said this on Espreso TV.
"The issue is not the number or mobilization of a certain number of DPRK troops. The problem is logistics. That is, the more troops Kim Jong Un deploys to Ukraine, the more problems there will be with logistics. Only one railroad line connects Russia with North Korea. The Far East and the European part of the Russian Federation are connected by two railroad lines," Popovych explained.
According to a military observer, the number of North Korean troops that could be deployed to Ukraine depends on logistics.
"We can only imagine the burden on the railroad if we have to supply the troops with fuel, equipment, resupply, and organize evacuations. In addition, there may be problems with the language barrier, although some may be able to learn the language to transmit orders. But logistics remains the biggest bottleneck for the army," Popovych emphasized.
Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military and political observer of the Information Resistance group, noted that North Korea has large mechanized artillery corps.
The White House said it was concerned about reports of North Korean infantrymen participating in Russia's war against Ukraine.
The ISW report says that Russia is likely to use the "mutual defense" agreement to legally justify the deployment of DPRK troops in the Russian war zone in response to the Ukrainian Defense Forces' offensive in the Kursk region.
