"Axis of evil" takes advantage of U.S. presidential campaign — former Ukrainian MP
Hanna Hopko, former MP, chairman of the board of the ANTS National Interests Advocacy Network, believes that Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran are preparing an offensive, not just hybrid attacks
She shared her opinions with Espreso TV.
“It seems to me that at the end of Biden's term after the election, depending on who becomes president of the United States, we need to finalize key decisions for Ukraine. Because January 20 is the middle of winter, and Russia is already preparing massive attacks for November and December. Therefore, we need to use both the Congress and our strategic partners to resolve the issue of lifting restrictions on strikes deep into Russian territory, especially after the DPRK military appears on the battlefield. The second issue is the defense of the sky. We see how the Poles and Romanians have intensified these conversations,” the former MP said.
According to her, the "axis of evil" (Russia, Iran, North Korea, China, and terrorist organizations supported by them - ed.) has already taken advantage of the U.S. presidential campaign, and will continue to use this window of opportunity until January 20.
“Now we need to discuss not even the eastern flank of NATO, but the fact that Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran are preparing an offensive, not just hybrid attacks. We need to go to our partners with a clear agenda and talk about the waponization (use of all possible resources as a weapon - ed.) of winter,” she summarized.
- Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that the agreement on cooperation between Russia and the DPRK, which was signed in June this year, contained a secret provision allowing North Korean troops to be sent to fight in the war against Ukraine.
