Assistance to Ukraine: Polish Ministry of Defense tells how many countries joined 'armored coalition'
The Polish Ministry of Defense said that as of now, the armored coalition to support Ukraine includes 15 countries
The ministry announced this in response to a request from Ukrinform.
Warsaw initiated the 'armored vehicle coalition' in January within the framework of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (so-called Ramstein format), which includes almost 50 participants.
"The purpose of these actions is to ensure the proper scale, pace and closer coordination of military support provided to Ukraine in the field of armored and mechanized vehicles," the Polish Ministry of Defense said.
As part of the efforts to create this coalition, a number of meetings were held and agreements were reached with allies who plan to further support Ukraine in this area.
"As a result, Germany and Italy declared their support for Poland by co-chairing the coalition, and 12 other countries joined its work, including, of course, Ukraine," the Polish defense ministry said.
They reminded that a few days ago, a coordination conference of the armored vehicles coalition was held in Warsaw, during which its work was launched.
"Further actions of the coalition are planned (coordination of support for the provision of equipment and ammunition, training, repair, force structure and operational use) in the short and long term," the ministry summed up.
- On March 19, it was reported that Poland and Germany would create a coalition of armored vehicles to support Ukraine.
