Russia has many old armored vehicles beyond Urals — Lieutenant General Romanenko
The founder of the "Let's Close the Sky of Ukraine" Charitable Foundation, Deputy Chief of Ukraine's General Staff (2006-2010), Lieutenant General Ihor Romanenko, said that Ukraine needs to increase its military potential
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"According to Western experts, the Russians have now restored their weapons and equipment potential to the level of when they started the war. That's because the military-industrial complex and the economy were switched to military mode last year. Also, we should not forget that the Soviet Union was forced to relocate its armored vehicles beyond the Urals when signing the treaties. Now there are fields of old armored vehicles that can be restored and modernized, which is what the Russians are doing," explained Romanenko.
According to the lieutenant general, the Russians still have the opportunity to take equipment from somewhere beyond the Urals, restore it and send it to the front.
"We need to realistically assess the enemy's capabilities. We need to track where the enemy's equipment is going in order to effectively fight it and persistently increase our potential," Romanenko emphasized.
