Russia reacted to the information about US plans to transfer Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine - they considered it a provocation and began to threaten the consequences.

Russian Federation embassy stated, TASS reports.
"Transfer of Patriot complexes to Kyiv by the USA would be another provocative step that could lead to unforeseen consequences," diplomatic service noted.

The day before it became known that administration of US President Joe Biden is finalizing preparation of plans to send Patriot anti-missile defense system to Ukraine, which may be announced as early as this week.

The West also discusses providing Ukraine with weapons for "preemptive strikes" and creating "decisive advantages" over Russian Federation.
