US State Department comments on providing Ukraine Patriot air defense systems
The United States intends to provide Ukraine with the defensive weapons it needs
This was said in an interview by a spokesman for the US State Department, Ned Price, Ukrinform publication reports.
"We will continue to provide Ukraine with the defense capabilities it needs," the State Department official said.
In particular, according to him, this will happen as long as the need remains.
Price also noted that he has no official announcements on this issue yet. However, he stressed that the United States would continue prioritizing supplying air defense systems to Ukrainians to help them defend themselves from brutal Russian aggression.
The State Department representative recalled that in the last few weeks, the United States and its partners had supported Ukraine with air defense technologies, such as NASAMS advanced systems and anti-aircraft missiles for HAWK complexes. The latest package, announced last Friday by the White House, contained anti-UAV equipment.
