Russia informs U.S. about its annual nuclear drills
Russia has informed the United States of its intention to conduct annual drills of its nuclear forces. Moscow fulfilled the terms of the Treaty on the Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Weapons.
The press secretary of the US Air Force Brigadier General Patrick Ryder stated at a briefing, Reuters reports.
The notification about nuclear drills came immediately after Russian Federation's statements about "dirty nuclear bomb in Ukraine."
"Western officials have expressed confidence that they will be able to tell the difference between Russian drills and any moves by Putin to implement his nuclear threats", Reuters writes.

On Sunday, October 23, Russian Minister of Defense, Sergey Shoigu called NATO countries and accused Ukraine of preparing provocations with a "dirty bomb".

Following Shoigu, the chief of Russian General Staff, Gerasimov made a call to his colleagues about "dirty nuclear bomb" in Ukraine.

US Ministers of Foreign Affairs as well as Great Britain and France stated that they reject blatantly false statements of the Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu in this regard.
