"The fire broke out on the roof of the L-shaped building. The employees managed to evacuate in time, no one was injured," the statement says.
According to The Moscow Times, the area of the fire at the military airfield in Shchelkovo is 1,000 square meters. The Russian Emergencies Ministry is working at the scene, and the fire has been assigned a 2nd rank of complexity.
At the same time, official Russian sources have not yet reported a fire at the airfield.
On the night of October 10, Ukrainian drones attacked the Russian Khanskaya military airfield located near the village of Khanskaya near Maikop.
