Ukrainian defense forces attack Khanskaya military airfield in Adygea, Russia

The Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff reports that an ammunition depot located on a military facility came under attack. According to the military, Russian air defense systems were active in the vicinity of the target.
Su-34 and Su-27 aircraft were reportedly stationed at the airfield, though more detailed information on the extent of the damage is still being clarified.
"The task was carried out by the forces and means of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, and the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the statement said.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its air defense forces destroyed or intercepted 47 drones over Krasnodar Territory, 12 over Kursk region, 9 over Rostov region, 4 over Bryansk region, 2 each over Belgorod region and Crimea, 1 over Voronezh region, and 15 over the Sea of Azov.
The Russian Telegram channel Astra reported explosions near a military airfield, with local residents confirming the blasts. The channel also cited NASA's fire monitoring system, which recorded a fire near the airfield.
Background. The Khanskaya military airfield is located 3 km east of the village of Khanskaya, 6 km northwest of the city of Maykop.
Publicly available data indicates that the 272nd Training Aviation Base of the Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots, named after Hero of the Soviet Union A.K. Serov and honored with the Orders of Suvorov and Kutuzov (2nd class), is stationed at the airfield in question.
