Riga sends Kyiv hundred of heat guns and almost 50 generators
Riga, Latvia sent to Kyiv a batch of energy equipment, including 100 heat guns and 49 diesel generators.

So, on December 6, 49 diesel generators with a capacity of 5 kVa each and 100 heat guns with a capacity of 25 kW were sent to Kyiv. Second batch of power equipment, which will include another 30 diesel generators with a capacity of 5 kVa, as well as 5 generators with a capacity of 80-100 kVa, will arrive in Kyiv by the end of December this year.
Energy equipment is provided by Riga City Council to neutralize negative consequences due to Russian shelling of Ukraine's capital, and is part of a general batch of aid to Kyiv from the city of Riga with a total cost of 200,000 euros, ambassador says.
They will be used to arrange heating points, which are organized by local authorities in each district of the capital, as well as by municipal services to repair electricity and heat supply systems.
Mishchenko added that aid action from the sister city of Kyiv - Riga is implemented by Riga City Duma together with Ziedot.lv charity fund. It takes place under slogan "Light and warmth from Riga to Kyiv!"
