Putin will not order to withdraw troops from Ukraine - sociologist Yakovenko
Russian President Vladimir Putin will not pull out his troops from Ukraine, and the regime will not accept de-occupation of Crimea
Russian journalist and sociologist Igor Yakovenko shared his opinion on the air of the Studio West with Antin Borkovsky program on the Espreso TV channel.
"I can confidently say that Putin will not give an order to withdraw troops from the territory of Ukraine, at least I do not see such a possibility. There is quite unpleasant news for me: the Russian public space, Russian television, the Russian authorities practically did not react to the liberation of Kherson. I thought that it would be quite a powerful blow. Russian TV and the Russian authorities withstood this blow quite easily," he believes.
Yakovenko added that the whole question is how serious the blow will be related to the liberation of Crimea.
"I think that the Putin regime will not be able to withstand this blow so easily, because Crimea is an absolutely iconic phenomenon and the regime will probably not be able to swallow the liberation of Crimea as easily as they swallowed the liberation of Kherson," the sociologist emphasized.
