Ukraine says air defenses down 21 Russian drones overnight, 22 others fail to hit targets

Ukraine’s Air Force reported the information.
According to the report, starting at 7:00 p.m. on December 29, Russia launched 43 Shahed-type attack UAVs along with other drones from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia.
In response, units from Ukraine’s anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, and mobile fire groups successfully intercepted and shot down 21 Shahed drones and other imitator drones.
Air defense systems were actively engaged in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Chernihiv, Odesa, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Additionally, 22 more Russian imitator drones were locally lost without causing any negative consequences.
- Meanwhile, private houses in Kharkiv and Odesa regions were damaged by the fall of downed UAVs.
