133 combat clashes since morning: Ukrainian forces repel 22 attacks

Since the morning of December 29, 133 combat clashes have been recorded on the Russia-Ukraine front. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 22 enemy attacks in the Pokrovsk direction

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this as of 4:00 p.m. on December 29.

"The enemy does not stop attempts to advance deep into the territory of Ukraine. The Defense Forces are holding back the invaders, inflicting significant losses on them," the General Staff emphasized.

Frontline situaton

Kharkiv direction: Russian forces stormed the positions of Ukrainian units in the area of Hatyshche.

Kupiansk direction: Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions six times. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assaults near Petropavlivka, Kucherivka, and Lozova. One combat clash continues as of now.

Lyman direction: Russian units attacked in the areas of the settlements of Hrekivka, Zelenyi Hai, Platonivka, Pershotravneve, Nadiia, Makiivka, Terny, Yampilivka, Ivanivka, and Bilohorivka. Since the morning, Ukrainian soldiers have already repelled 15 attacks, with six clashes ongoing. Additionally, enemy aviation struck the village of Serhiivka.

Siversk direction: Since the beginning of the day, the Russian army has made one unsuccessful attempt to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions.

Kramatorsk direction: The Russian invaders carried out five assault actions near Chasiv Yar. Two enemy attacks are ongoing as of now.

Toretsk direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled two Russian attacks in the areas of Shcherbynivka and Toretsk, with two more combat clashes continuing at this time.

Pokrovsk direction: Since the morning, Russian troops have already made 26 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of Zelenе Pole, Vozdvyzhenka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Novyi Trud, Vovkove, Solone, Novooleynivka, Novovasylivka, and Novoyelyzavetivka. The Defense Forces, holding back the enemy's offensive, have already repelled 22 enemy attacks on this direction. The enemy is suffering significant losses in manpower.

Kurakhove direction: Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian units 16 times, attempting to advance in the areas of the settlements of Ukrainka, Slovyanka, Petropavlivka, Kurakhove, and Dachne. Four combat clashes are ongoing as of now.

Vremivka direction: Russian invaders carried out 17 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops near Kostiantynopolske, Yantarne, Uspenivka, Kostiantynopil, Dachne, and Pryvilne. Four combat clashes are continuing. Enemy aviation dropped guided bombs on settlements, including Zaporizke, Rozlyv, and Komar, with a total of nine bombs dropped.

Orikhiv, Huliaipole, and Prydniprovskyi directions: Russia did not carry out active actions.

Kursk direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 attacks by Russian invaders today, with 19 combat clashes still ongoing. Additionally, the enemy carried out 152 artillery strikes.

  • Over the past week, the Russian Federation launched more than 370 attack drones, around 280 guided bombs, and 80 missiles against Ukraine.
