Putin has no idea how difficult situation is for Russian military at the front
Fighting in Ukraine is slowing down, Ukrainian resistance is not fading. Russia's leader has no idea what a challenge situation at the front is for the Russian army
Avril Haynes, Director of National Intelligence of the USA, states, BBC reports.
Avril Haynes noted that fighting in Ukraine is slowing down and is likely to continue into the coming winter months. However, there was no evidence of fading of resistance by Ukrainian forces.
"We already see some reduction in the pace of conflict and we expect that it is what we will probably see in the coming months," she said.
U.S. director of national intelligence added that both sides would try to "rearm, resupply and restock" for any counteroffensive in spring.
"But in fact, we have fair share of skepticism as to whether Russians will really be ready to do this, Avril Haynes said and added: I believe that this period will be more optimistic for Ukrainians".
Mrs. Haynes informed: US intelligence believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin at this stage does not have complete idea about difficulty of the situation in which Russian army found itself.
"We see ammunition shortages, morale problems, supply problems, logistics problems - the whole range of problems they faced."
