Polish Foreign Ministry voices "worst" scenario for end of war in Ukraine
Lasting peace in Europe is only possible if the Ukrainian Armed Forces defeat the Russian army. Meanwhile, the Kremlin being allowed to "save face" will be the worst case scenario
Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Paweł Jabłoński made the statement on RMF FM.
"The condition for any lasting peace in Europe is that Ukraine must expel Russia from its territory," he said.
The minister emphasizes that Warsaw is seeking an outcome of the war in which Russia will withdraw from Ukraine "defeated, completely confused", and will be held accountable for its aggression.
"For the aggressor to come out of this conflict with a “saved face” would be the worst case scenario. Not only in terms of our security, but also on a global scale. This would demonstrate to potential stakeholders that such aggression simply pays off," Jabłoński said.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that a precondition for considering Ukraine's membership in the Alliance is its victory over Russia.
