Poland supplies Ukraine with another 1,570 Starlink terminals
In total, since the beginning of Russian full-scale invasion, Ukraine received 5,000 Starlink terminals with the support of the Polish government
The Ministry of digital transformation of Ukraine made the announcement on Telegram.
"These terminals from the Polish government will help to provide Internet connection where it is necessary. For example, in the liberated cities and villages, Starlinks will be used to establish public Wi-Fi points, so residents can gather and connect to the Internet in case of emergencies," the message says.
The ministry added that there are plans to spread the Starlink network not only over the de-occupied territories, but also all over Ukraine, so that people have Internet access even in blackout.
They also intend to provide Ukrzaliznytsia, a state-owned rail transport company, with Starlink terminals so that passengers and employees can have Internet connection on the road.
In total, since the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has received more than 20,000 Starlink terminals from sponsors and partners. The Polish government helped to supply 5,000 of them.
According to CNN, 1,300 Starlink satellite communication terminals used by the Ukrainian military stopped working in Ukraine at the end of October.
