Oleg Kutsyn, Carpathian Sich commander, is killed in action
Commander of the Carpathian Sich Volunteer Battalion, created with the assistance of the Svoboda party, lay down his life for Ukraine's freedom and future
This was confirmed in an Espreso comment by the Svoboda party press secretary, Khrystyna Ravliuk.
The first to report on Kutsin's death on Sunday, June 19, 2022, was Iryna Farion, a former Svoboda deputy, in her Telegram channel.
"The commander of the Svoboda Carpathian Sich, Oleg Kutsyn, has died. I am in shock. I can't think or write. I can only fight and kill them," she said at 2:28 p.m.
The politician later clarified that the commander's death was "from a direct hit during the meeting."
According to the head of the Svoboda party Oleg Tyagnybok, this happened "in the Izyum direction."

Oleg Kutsin was a member of the Svoboda political council. He headed the Transcarpathian regional party organisation.
He was born in Ivano-Frankivsk, lived and worked in Tyachev, Transcarpathia, where in 2005-2006 he headed the district state administration as the first deputy head.
He had three higher educations (Ivano-Frankivsk Institute of Oil and Gas, Lviv Polytechnic institute, National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine).
He has been fighting for Ukraine since 2014, when the Carpathian Sich volunteer assault company was formed on his initiative.
Later, the unit was expanded to a battalion and renamed the Carpathian Sich Separate Volunteer Detachment. This is the 49th separate rifle battalion of Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
