This was reported by the sources of the Ukrainian media RBC-Ukraine, Suspilne and Ukrinform in the Main Intelligence Directorate (known by its Ukraine acronym HUR).

At about 03:45 a.m., Ukrainian drones hit Russia’s Volgograd oil refinery, which is part of the Lukoil corporation.

The plant's primary oil refining units AVT-1 and AVT-6 were damaged. The scouts are clarifying their current condition.

At the same time, the control cable for air coolers was damaged, which resulted in 7 of them being disconnected. The chimney of the P-1 furnace was also damaged.

In addition, the attack reportedly affected metallurgical and oil facilities, including the Kaluganefteprodukt oil depot in the city of Lyudinovo, Kaluga region, and the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant, which is considered one of the largest ferrous metallurgical enterprises in Russia.

“The targets have been hit. All these attacks are a HUR operation,” a Ukrainian intelligence source said.

Earlier, RIA Novosti and Telegram channels Mash and Shot reported the attacks.

They noted that several loud explosions near the enterprise in the Krasnoarmeysky district of the Volgograd region were heard at about 02:30 am. Prior to that, the characteristic sound of a UAV was heard.

According to Telegram channels, the Ukrainian drones were allegedly suppressed by electronic warfare, and as a result of their falling on the territory of the refinery, a fire broke out, which has already been extinguished.

There were no reported casualties or injuries.

The attack and the fire at the refinery were also confirmed by the governor of the region, Andrey Bocharov.

Later, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that last night, air defense systems destroyed two tactical missiles over the territory of the Belgorod region, three UAVs over the Bryansk region, and two more over the Lipetsk region. Also, one UAV was allegedly shot down over the territory of the Volgograd region.

  • Earlier, Russia reported a drone attack on the Pervyi Zavod oil refinery in the Kaluga region. The Russian Ministry of Defense says that 5 UAVs were shot down, while the media reports that it was a HUR operation.
