The Atesh movement reported the information.
“Agents of the Atesh movement from the 44th AK headquarters report that Russia is using an African corps in an offensive against the Kharkiv region. They are already suffering huge losses,” the statement reads.
The guerrillas note that Russia is using the so-called African mercenary corps. They add that the mercenaries were not ready for such a war. Russia deploys Africans to the front lines, knowing that most of them will not return from the assaults.
“There is evidence that mercenaries who have already fought in Mali and Libya are present in the Kharkiv region. The Russians recruit and use mercenaries from poor countries in an attempt to compensate for their losses,” Atesh adds.
- On February 27, former representatives of the Russian Wagner PMC were spotted in Guinea.
- On March 2, reports emerged indicating that instructors formerly associated with Wagner PMC were training new mercenaries from Cuba and Nepal, who had been brought in by the Russians to participate in the fighting in Ukraine.
- On May 1, reports stated that mercenaries from Nepal were fleeing the Russian army. Among the reasons for the mass desertion are huge losses in “meat assaults” and the cruelty of commanders.
