"Russians in Mariupol are uneasy": City official about attack on Russian military equipment
The day before, an explosion was heard in the temporarily occupied Mariupol. A military target of the Russian occupation forces was hit
Dmytro Zabavin, a deputy of the Mariupol City Council, said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The occupiers wanted to celebrate May 9 and received a gift, but instead of fireworks, they got Ukrainian explosive greeting. It hit the cluster where the occupiers keep their equipment. They like to use former parking lots as parking for their equipment for military purposes. It's not the first time it's hit. There have been two such explosions in the last week. Recently, it was in the city center, and before that in the left-bank district, also in a parking lot. These were precision strikes that hit the Russian military targets," the MP said.
As a result of the explosion, the military of the Russian occupation army suffered. Zabavin told what rank they could have been.
"Usually they are guards responsible for certain objects or equipment. When it comes to high-ranking officers, they are mostly eliminated individually. A car explodes somewhere, or an explosion just happens. It is important that the occupiers and collaborators realize more and more every day that they may be the next to be eliminated. Therefore, they cannot feel confident and calm in the temporarily occupied territory.
We see this in their nervousness and actions in the occupied territory. Russians cannot be sure of their safety. I think that each of them will get what they deserve sooner or later. The fewer Russians alive, the more Ukrainians alive. The more precise strikes on enemy military equipment and depots, the better for Ukraine," he summarized.
