No one will guarantee Russia's security - diplomat Khara
Oleksandr Khara, an expert on foreign policy and security policy at the Center for Defense Strategies, believes that the West will not fulfill Russia's demands for security guarantees
He shared his opinion with Espreso TV.
"Medvedev's words about security guarantees for Russia should be interpreted in a completely different way. They believe that NATO should withdraw from Central and Eastern Europe. This is exactly the part that is most vulnerable to Russian aggression. In other words, in fact, Moscow wants to leave these countries defenseless. Next, the US should be removed from the European continent. Of course, they would not like to see American troops and nuclear weapons on the territory of Europe. No one will fulfill these demands. And no one will provide security guarantees for Russia", Khara explained.
The diplomat is convinced that Russia is on the path of self-destruction.
"What security guarantees can be for Russia, when it itself violates the principle of inviolability of borders!? In my opinion, Russia itself has taken a step towards self-destruction, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Ukrainians are only accelerating this process", he added.
