Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met with a bipartisan delegation of the US House of Representatives
He wrote about it on Telegram.
It is noted that the officials discussed strengthening Ukrainian defense, in particular air defense.
"We talked about protecting our state and our values from Russian terror. The key emphasis is on air defense, saving the lives of Ukrainians and stopping any attempts by Russia to prolong this war. We are doing everything to achieve just peace as soon as possible," the statement says.
The parties paid special attention to Ukraine's progress on the path of Euro-Atlantic integration, the Presidential Office reported.
In addition, the president emphasized the importance of obtaining additional air defense equipment to effectively protect civilians and critical infrastructure, as well as the need to expand training missions for Ukrainian pilots and technicians in the United States.
"I am grateful to the American public for the important assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of this war. We are grateful to President Joseph Biden, both houses of Congress and both parties. And we highly appreciate the decision of the Congress to support our army," Zelenskyy said.
