NATO will deliver air defense systems to Ukraine in coming days
The Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, announced the delivery of anti-drone systems to counter Iranian-made ‘kamikaze’ drones
This is reported by Reuters.
"The most important thing we can do is to fulfill what the members of the Alliance promised: to activate and provide even more air defense systems. In the coming days, NATO will hand over anti-drone systems to counter the specific threat of drones, including those from Iran," the NATO Secretary General emphasized.
Commenting on Iran's role, Stoltenberg said: "No nation should support Russia's illegal war against Ukraine." It is also reported that some air defense systems have already been handed over to Ukraine.
"That is why Russia was unable to gain control over the airspace of Ukraine. This was a significant shortcoming of the Russian forces throughout the operation: they expected to be able to take control of the airspace, but this did not happen," Stoltenberg added.
