NATO believes that victory over Russian forces in Kherson can start real peace negotiations with Moscow

This is reported by the Italian publication La Repubblica. 

The publication says that the Russian army is under pressure, and that is why it is trying to destroy the energy and critical infrastructure of Ukraine. Kherson is a critically important city for the Russian forces, as it opens access to the sea and the Crimea, so its loss can completely change the course of the conflict.

La Repubblica writes that the US considers the Ukrainian Armed Forces' victory in Kherson the best time to start negotiations. It is also noted that the negotiations will not immediately lead to the end of the war, but they can extend the grain agreement and cease fire.
