Mood changes in Crimea as population understands what peninsula war means - Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate
The popular mood in Russian-occupied Crimea is changing gradually. People are starting to understand that there is a real, present and growing risk of a hot war on the peninsula
The representative of the Main Directorate of
Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Vadym Skibitskyi, told about this in an interview with the Radio Svoboda Crimea.Realii project.
"Gradually, this is reaching the population of Crimea. We are really monitoring those issues that concern such social attitudes. I will say one thing: first of all, they have changed, they have changed for those people who have relatives in the territory of our state, as well as relatives in the occupied territories, where villages and cities were simply destroyed. Secondly, they have changed for those whose relatives, in particular brothers, sons, fathers died... The threat of the war being transferred to the territory of Crimea is becoming a reality for them", he said.
