Russia's defense industry falters, Ukraine’s tactics are working – expert Snehyriov comments on Su-57 destruction
Military expert Dmytro Snehyriov believes that the Ukrainian forces' tactics of targeting the Su-57 fighter, which carries Kh-69 missiles, proved a success
He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
“This is a major success for the Ukrainian Defense Forces, the operation was conducted by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and there is objective control data that indicates that the Su-57 was hit.
The Russian authorities can either deny or refute this information, but nevertheless, the Russian public is being told by the so-called zedvoenkory that the Su-57 was struck. As usual, the Russians are lying, calling the Su-57 the fifth generation jet, but in fact it is a transitional type aircraft designed to destroy all types of air targets, to hit foreign surface targets, and to monitor the airspace over long distances," Snehyriov explained.
According to the expert, the information that Russia had only 6 Su-57 fighters is false, as according to various estimates, the number is up to ten.
"In 2022, the Russian defense industry managed to produce 6 Su-57s, in 2023 - 3, that is, a total of 9, and in 2024 there is no information about the production of Su-57s. This indicates that the Russian Federation's military-industrial complex is not doing well, despite the criticism of economic sanctions. Even if we take into account nine or 10 aircraft, this is a serious loss for the Russian army, given that this is still a new generation aircraft and production capabilities are reduced to zero. What we need to know is that the warplane is a carrier of the Kh-69 missile, which was the missile that hit the Trypillia thermal power plant, near Kyiv and this Russian missile, unfortunately, bypassed Ukraine's air defense system. Therefore, the destruction of a missile carrier is an unprecedented case, and we can say that this tactic is already becoming a regular feature. If we also recall that the Mozdok airfield was hit," summarized the observer.
