Russia now has capacity to wage war only through 2024 - military expert Stupak
Ivan Stupak, a military expert and SBU officer in 2004-2015, noted that Russians have political plans to reach the Dnipro River, but there are also military and economic limitations
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"Russia has political plans to reach the Dnipro River, but it also has military and economic capabilities. The Russians have planned that 2024 is a crucial year for the Russian military-industrial complex. They have already planned EUR 110 billion for the military-industrial complex, EUR 25 billion for the security forces, and this is their goal until 2025. This was first announced by Shoigu. Why exactly until 2025? Because in November 2024, elections will be held in the United States," Stupak emphasized.
The military expert also added that according to Russian calculations, anyone but the Democrats will win the US presidential election.
"Earlier, Trump promised to end the war in 24 hours. The Russians are counting on the new US president entering the White House in 2025 and stopping the war. Therefore, the Russians have no further planning horizon for the military-industrial complex. Most likely, the Russians will consider these infusions closer to November, when they realize who wins the US election. But everything can change at any time," Stupak emphasized.
