Made specially for Ukrenergo: new equipment provided by USAID is being installed at a substation damaged by shelling
Ukraine received 105 units of energy equipment worth more than USD 100,000 from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
This is reported by Ukraine’s national electricity company Ukrenergo on Facebook.
"New equipment with a total cost of more than 100,000 dollars from our American partners from USAID is already being prepared for installation on one of the substations damaged by Russian shelling. These are devices that allow you to manage technological processes and monitor the key technological parameters of the substation, detect problems in the equipment in time and prevent accidents. 105 units of such equipment were provided to Ukrenergo free of charge by our partners from the USAID Energy Safety Project," the message says.
It is noted that the equipment was manufactured specifically for the needs of Ukrenergo by the leading American company SEL in the shortest possible time.
"This and other key replaced equipment will make it possible to restore the operation of the substation, and with it - the stability of energy supply in the region, which is currently suffering from a power shortage, the transmission of which is complicated due to damage to key generation and transmission facilities," Ukrenergo added.
