Lithuania to give winter uniforms to 25,000 defenders of Ukraine
Lithuania will deliver winter uniforms worth several million euros to Ukrainian defenders.
Delfi media reports.
In the coming months, Lithuania will prepare and hand over winter uniforms worth several million euros to the Ukrainian defenders. The Lithuanians plan to provide winter clothing for about 25,000 Ukrainian soldiers. Arvydas Anušauskas, Lithuanian Defense Minister, said this during a speech in the Seimas on September 27.
According to the minister, "Putin's anti-Western rhetoric and his nuclear threats" accompanying the Kremlin leader's decision on "partial mobilization" were aimed at dissuading Western countries from supporting Ukraine. However, Lithuania will significantly support Ukraine in the future.
"Currently, Lithuania's support with weapons and other military equipment is about 209 million euros, - Arvidas Anušauskas said. - Lithuania's support for Ukraine continues, it is really significant. But this is not a competition between countries for support. We give what we can give, Ukraine is asking for what it needs."
