Liberated territories is proof that Western weapons are used as intended - Kyslytsya at UN Security Council

This was announced by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN, Serhiy Kyslytsya, during a meeting of the UN Security Council.

He noted that the implemented three-level system allows Western partners to monitor weapons and receive information about each sound of such weapons.  In particular, parliamentary control over weapons is now ensured by a special commission.  The president also exercises his powers through the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

"At the government level, the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces together with foreign partners carry out direct control and monitoring of arms supplies to Ukraine, as well as the movement of international technical assistance," Kyslytsya noted.

In this way, the ambassador of Ukraine to the UN responded to accusations from Russia that Western weapons supplied to Ukraine were sent to third countries. Kyslytsya claims that, to be convincing, Russia provides too many facts that can pass off a lie as the truth.

"(Moscow, - ed.) wraps lies in numerous terms and names, technical characteristics and numbers - all this should give fakes the appearance of facts," Kyslytsya stressed.

He reminded that a similar accusation was already made by Russia in September.  After that, the Armed Forces launched a counteroffensive in the east and south of Ukraine.

"This is the strongest and most convincing evidence that all the weapons that Ukraine possesses serve their direct purpose - to help Ukrainian soldiers liberate our people and our territories," Kyslytsya said.
