Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stressed that Rome will help Kyiv. In addition, she promised to visit the capital of our country by the end of February
It is reported by The Guardian with reference to the official's statement.
"I hope that sooner or later Russia will realise the huge mistake it is making, and until then we will protect Ukraine. We will defend Ukrainian international rights, sovereignty and freedom," she said, stressing that Rome will continue to help Kyiv in the war with Russia.
Meloni also said that she supports everything that can be done to promote peace.
"However, we must know that the issue of peace cannot be achieved only by declaring it, we must work on it concretely and receive signals from the parties on the ground, and today there are no big signals, especially from Russia," she stressed.
In addition, the Italian Prime Minister promised to visit Kyiv by the end of February. Earlier she had already confirmed plans to visit Kyiv and invited President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to visit Rome.
