"It depends on the Ukrainians... Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine, " Biden said when asked if the Ukrainian authorities could compromise with Russia.
The US president also noted that he does not know whether Ukraine will agree to negotiate with Russia. "We will not tell them what they should do," he stressed.
"Only the parties to the conflict will decide whether to make concessions in the winter after the Russian troops leave Kherson," Biden added.
