Iran may be left without certain facilities due to Russia support, Israel waits for opportunity - Portnikov
Israel is not against striking Iran if it agrees with the US that it can do so without consequences under international law.
Journalist Vitaly Portnikov on Espreso TV.
“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Putin. The agenda included stopping the war in Ukraine, concerns about military-technical cooperation with Iran, and Iran's base in Syria near Israel's borders. Netanyahu sharply and precisely told Putin that he will resolutely oppose this,” he noted.
Portnikov expressed an opinion about what it means when the US talks about real action against Iran.
“President Biden can just meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu and say: “If 10 of your planes fly somewhere, no one will notice. Let them fly where they want. These are your planes and your business. If you think that the Russians can shoot you down, we will give you all the satellite data so that no one touches you.” Iranians may suddenly wake up and some objects in Iran will not exist. Israel is more interested in this than the USA. The only thing the Jewish state wants is to be given the opportunity to do so without consequences from the point of view of international law. If Iran continues such cooperation with Russia, the USA itself will be interested in such actions by Israel,” the journalist concluded.
