The Kyiv City State Administration reports.

It is noted that throughout the day, wind gusts in Kyiv can reach 25-28 m/s, which means the 2nd, orange, level of danger.

The city has already registered several cases of people being injured due to the bad weather. For example, a tree fell on a man in Shevchenkivskyi district. Doctors tried to resuscitate the man, but he died of severe injuries.

Later, in the same district, a woman sustained a spinal injury due to falling branches. The victim was hospitalized.

Later, the head of Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, said that another man died as a result of the bad weather in Podil district. And in Obolonskyi district, a wind gust tore off a part of the metal structure of a public transport stop and injured a woman.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the victims were 65 and 35 years old. 7 residents of the capital suffered injuries and fractures. Five people were hospitalized in Kyiv hospitals. Two were treated on the spot.

Klitschko added that as of 12:30 a.m., more than 250 trees had fallen or been damaged in the city. The liquidation of the consequences of the bad weather is underway.

The Kyiv City State Administration urged citizens to be careful, take into account the weather conditions and not to go out unless necessary.

In addition, DTEK Kyiv Electricity Networks reported that the bad weather could lead to power outages in Kyiv, so specialists are ready to eliminate the consequences of bad weather in an emergency mode.

The day before, weather forecasters predicted rains throughout Ukraine, without a strong cold snap.
