Hollywood actor Ben Stiller shares his impressions of Zelenskyy's speech at US Congress
Popular American actor and director Ben Stiller says that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's address to the US Congress impressed him
The Hollywood star shared his thoughts on Twitter.
American actor Ben Stiller watched the broadcast of the speech of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who met with US President Joe Biden and spoke in Congress on December 21. Stiller said that he experienced many feelings while listening to Zelenskyy's speech.
“Watching Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy make a plea for help here in the US and speaking to Congress, I’m struck by a lot of feelings,” Ben Stiller tweeted.
He noted that a real humanitarian crisis is taking place in Ukraine.
“I saw the destruction and talked to those civilians affected directly by this unprovoked war. If you could see the affects of this unjust aggression in person, the scale of the destruction and heartbreak, helping the Ukrainian people at this time would not be a question,” Ben Stiller wrote.
He expressed hope that with joint efforts and with the support of the United States, Ukraine will persevere together with those “who are now fighting for their lives and freedom.”
“These are people like you and I, familles with kids, who will be struggling all winter to stay alive because their (Russian -ed.) power and fuel will be targeted purely to make them (Ukrainians - ed.) suffer. I think the US should do all we can to help them,” the actor added.
