The money collected was used to purchase a tank and ammunition. Activists agreed to deliver equipment to Ukraine.
11,288 people joined the collection of money.
This information is also confirmed by Ukraine's Ministry of Defense.
"The Gift for Putin project collected more than EUR 1.22 million in less than a month for the purchase of the T-72 Avenger modernized tank for Ukraine's Armed Forces. Further plans of the project include fundraising for the purchase of ammunition for the tank, as well as for Czech Dana self-propelled howitzers and RM-70 Vampire MLRS," the press service reports.
For reference. The T-72 Avenger is a modernized Soviet T-72 tank. It better protects the crew from mine-ballistic attacks, radiation, and chemical substances. It has a device for smoke screens and masking. The tank can destroy other equipment and even armored targets. It is also equipped with anti-aircraft machine guns.
