Gazprom threatens to reduce gas transit to Europe through Ukraine's gas transportation system
Russia’s Gazprom monopoly threatens to cut gas flows to Europe via Ukraine next week
This is stated in the message of the company on Telegram
Gazprom said that some volumes of gas destined for Moldova remain in Ukraine and warned that it will limit the volume of transit from November 28 according to the amount of gas that does not reach Moldovan consumers.
"On November 21, Moldovagaz, in accordance with the contract, paid Gazprom for the part of November supplies. The volume of Russian gas actually supplied is 24.945 million cubic meters of gas. The total accumulated volume on the territory of Ukraine is 52.52 million cubic meters of gas," the statement reads.
Gazprom threatens If those imbalances remain, the company will begin reducing supplies to Ukraine.
The Ukrainian route is the last remaining pipeline that still supplies Russian gas to Western Europe, as Moscow has gradually cut supplies to the continent since pre-war.
