Fund to eliminate consequences of armed aggression is created in Ukraine

​​​​​​​The Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament) has voted for the creation of the Fund for the Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

This was reported by lawmaker Yaroslav Zhelezniak.

251 people's deputies voted for the draft Law on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2022" regarding the creation of the Fund for the Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression. 

The source of the fund will be nationalized funds and the sale of nationalized property.

All money from nationalization is proposed to be directed to a special fund, and then used with the agreement of the committee of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada in the following directions:

  • construction of public buildings - restriction of relevant objects to those that were destroyed or damaged as a result of the Russian armed aggression;

  • reconstruction, overhaul of critical infrastructure facilities related to the provision of water supply, drainage, heat supply services ((additions regarding the construction of such facilities and facilities related to the provision of electricity and gas services, as well as the limitation of the relevant facilities to those that were destroyed or damaged as a result of armed aggression);

  • reconstruction, overhaul of buildings to provide housing for internally displaced persons and people who lost it as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation;

  • development of project (project and estimate) documentation for objects that were destroyed as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation;

  • acquisition of residential premises for citizens of Ukraine, corresponding objects of real estate, the construction objects of which were destroyed as a result of hostilities, acts of terrorism, and sabotage caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation;

  • purchase of computer and multimedia equipment (which was destroyed, damaged or stolen) for educational institutions located in the territories affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation;

  • restoration of power supply and lighting damaged as a result of Russian aggression;

  • restoration of gas supply.
