Ukraine reports 134 combat clashes at frontline, Russia launches 260 attacks in Kursk region

Since the beginning of Monday, October 21, there have been 134 combat clashes between the two armies, with the majority of Russian attacks occurring in the Pokrovsk direction, totaling 46

This is stated in the report of the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff as of 8:00 am.

 

“The situation at the front remains difficult. The enemy, using its superiority in manpower and equipment, is continuously attacking our positions. Ukrainian defenders are steadfastly holding back the onslaught of the occupiers, inflicting maximum losses on the enemy,” the statement said.

 

A total of 134 combat clashes were registered over the past day. According to the updated information, yesterday Russia launched two missile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, as well as 82 air strikes, including 136 KABs. In addition, it fired over 4,000 times at settlements and Ukrainian troops' positions, 154 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.

 

Russia carried out air strikes targeting 9 settlements in Sumy region; 1 in Kharkiv region; 10 in Donetsk region; 2 in Zaporizhzhia region.

 

Yesterday, Ukraine's aviation, missile forces and artillery conducted nine strikes on Russian personnel and weapons concentrations and hit two bridges.

 

Frontline update

 

In the Kharkiv direction, Russia continued assault operations, with a total of three combat clashes. The fighting took place near Lyptsi and Vovchansk.

 

In the Kupyansk direction, five Russian attacks took place over the day. The Ukrainian defense forces repelled assaults near 4 settlements.
 

The Russian troops attacked in the Lyman direction 14 times. They tried to advance near 5 settlements and attacked three times in the Siversk direction. 

 

With the support of aviation in the Kramatorsk direction, the occupying Russian forces attacked Chasiv Yar. The situation is under Ukrainian Armed Forces control.

 

In the Toretsk direction, Russia launched three attacks near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.

 

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 46 offensive and assault operations near 9 settlements. Russia was actively using aviation.
 

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces rebuffed 26 Russian attacks near 9 settlemnts.
 

In the Vremivka direction, according to the updated information, Russia attacked Ukrainian positions 12 times in the direction of Bohoyavlenka, Novoukrainka and Zolote.
 

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian positions were attacked near Mala Tokmachka over the past day.

 

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled four attacks, the Russian army had no success.
 

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups formation were detected.

 

On the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russia is actively using artillery and aviation from its territory near Ukrainian settlements.

 

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue operations in the Kursk region. Over the past day, Russia launched 41 air strikes in the Kursk region, using 68 guided bombs, and fired 260 times at its own settlements.
 

  • Bohdan Tkachuk, a member of the Kharkiv City Council, said that Russian troops split the grouping of Ukrainian troops in the direction of the Oskil River into two footholds.
