EU will not allow Russia's victory to destroy foundation of world order - Maasikas
Russia's victory in the war would mean the destruction of the foundations of the world order, so the European Union is interested in Ukraine's victory and will continue to support it militarily
This was stated by the Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Matti Maasikas in an interview with Ukrinform.
"Allowing Russia to win would mean allowing it to destroy the foundations of our democracies and the very basis of the world order based on international rules. Therefore, our job is to continue to support Ukraine militarily to ensure that you are in the best possible position and to help you win this war," he said.
According to him, Ukrainians have made significant progress at the front and are determined to liberate their lands without making territorial concessions to the enemy.
"The main thing for me is not the time — "when," but the result — "how" this war will end," Maasikas said, emphasizing that it should end with Ukraine's victory.
- Gintaras Bagdonas, former Director of the Lithuanian Military Intelligence and Security Service, stated on Espreso that Ukraine will win by the end of 2023.
