Erdogan says that there is no justification for Russian invasion of Ukraine
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that there is no justification for Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and that the end of the war should be negotiated at the negotiating table.
This is reported by Anadolu.
Answering the question whether the Russians were able to find a justification for the invasion of Ukraine, Erdogan replied that there was no justification.
"There is no justification for the invasion. And the cause-and-effect relationship in this invasion can be best explained by Zelenskyy and Putin, not us. They know the reasons for this best. Turkey, in assessing these reasons, is in favor of listening to both sides here, as a country , which follows a balanced policy. That is why we have a strong desire to bring these leaders together. I wanted to bring them together, to hear it from them. We have not succeeded yet, but it is not hopeless," Erdogan said.
When asked whether Putin realizes that he miscalculated by underestimating the will of the Ukrainian people, the Turkish president noted that no leader admits his mistakes.
"No leader admits his mistake after taking a step," Erdogan said.
