Decision on ATACMS transfer to Ukraine is close to positive decision - military expert Zgurets
Director of the Defense Express, Serhiy Zgurets, mentioned that the political conditions for the transfer of ATACMS to Ukraine are improving
He made this statement on the Espreso TV channel.
"The political background related to the transfer of ATACMS and cluster munitions to Ukraine is leaning towards a decision in favor of such transfer. During the recent regular Pentagon briefing, the spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Defense decided not to confirm this information. However, considering the significant number of publications in the American press, citing congressmen and sources within the presidential administration, we can say that the process related to the decision on the transfer of ATACMS is approaching a positive resolution," emphasized Zgurets.
According to the expert, the decision regarding the supply of ATACMS will be made during critical stages of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive in the south of Ukraine.
"ATACMS and cluster munitions are what we need on the battlefield. We see a change in Americans' attitudes towards supporting assistance to Ukraine, which is increasing. The political conditions for the transfer of ATACMS to Ukraine are improving. Perhaps such a decision will be made during critical stages of the offensive in the south of our country," speculated Zgurets.
