Control over positions in Bakhmut direction constantly shifts — 26th artillery brigade on frontline developments
Oleh Kalashnikov, spokesman for the 26th Artillery Brigade named after Lieutenant General Roman Dashkevych, notes that Russian troops are trying to break through the defense lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Bakhmut direction
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"Despite the weather conditions, the enemy is constantly trying to counterattack the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The number of combat engagements fluctuates daily, with an average of 10 to 20 clashes. The enemy is directing significant efforts on the northern flank of Bakhmut, engaging the 98th and 106th airborne brigades with the support of a motorized infantry brigade. On the southern flank, the enemy has deployed a bunch of different units, trying to attack us in the area of Kurdyumivka, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka. The occupiers are attacking with the support of artillery and using air defense systems. Heavy fighting continues, positions are changing hands," emphasized Kalashnikov
According to the serviceman, between Bohdanivka and Khromove Russian troops are trying to break through the defense lines of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
"The enemy is heading to Chasiv Yar and is trying to reach the southern flank of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to threaten the holding of Klishchiivka and Andriivka. In this direction, the enemy is using armored vehicles to bring infantry and support the offensive. Infantry units are fighting, and the invaders are using up to a company for attacks. The situation is not easy," noted Kalashnikov.
