Confrontation with Russia will continue for another 10-15 years after the end of hot phase of war

He shared his opinion live on air of Espreso TV channel.

"In order for us to secure our future, we need to consolidate national idea of ​​the unity of Ukrainians and the fact that we have enemy who will be around for a long time. In my opinion, after the end of hot phase of war, confrontation will last at least 10-15 years. And to prevent Putin's second attempt, Ukraine needs to ensure adequate defense potential", military expert noted.

Valentyn Badrak explained that it is possible to do this in combined way, on the one hand, to receive weapons and technologies from Western partners, as well as to launch number of joint production projects and economic programs in the field of security.  And the second is to intensify integration of our own defense-industrial complex in this matter.

"In particular, regardless of position of our partners, we can, and this issue has already been studied and researched at the level of missile technology developers, create a missile with a range of 500 km first, then 1000 km, and some developers believe that we can in the near future create a missile with a range of 1500 km. Also, developers say that there are no particular problems in this, provided that Western countries help with some components and elements. We can produce missile technology completely independently, but we would still need to receive certain elements until our defense industry recovers from the blows inflicted by Putin regime", Badrak commented.
