Borrell visits training site of Ukrainian servicemen in Poland
On December 2, the EU’s top diplomat Josep Borrell visited Ukrainian defenders undergoing training in Poland
The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, wrote about the visit on Twitter.
Borrell visited the training ground of the Military Assistance Mission in Support of Ukraine - EUMAM Ukraine.
“I am visiting today a training site of our new EU training mission for Ukrainian soldiers, EUMAM. I will meet the first group of trainees of a total of 15,000 soldiers that will be trained by EUMAM. Grateful to Poland for hosting a significant part of the training on Polish soil,” he tweeted.

For reference. The main goal of the mission is to prepare Ukrainians to fight the Russians at the front. For many of them, it will be the basics - handling weapons, patrolling, and medical assistance. The second stage is specialized training - artillery, anti-aircraft or sniper training. The last stage is integration within the battalions. The mission will also be for commanders, so among other things, training in warfare tactics.
This mission is important not only because it offers Ukrainians training according to Western standards, but it is also, as one of the EU experts said in an interview with a Brussels correspondent of Polish Radio, Ukraine's military accession to the EU.
