Banksy sells 50 of his works to buy ambulances for Ukraine
British artist Banksy has put up for sale 50 of his rare screen prints to raise funds for a charity supporting the people of Ukraine
Banksy informed about this on December 9, 2022, on his Instagram.
British street artist Banksy has put up for sale 50 of his works. Numbered and signed by the author, prints mounted on wooden frames can be purchased on the website of the Legacy of War charity. Each buyer can purchase only one work for GBP 5,000 thousand (USD 6.100 thousand, - ed.).
The money received from the auction will be used to buy ambulances and send other humanitarian aid to support Ukraine.
"They are needed in the Donbas to evacuate people with disabilities, the elderly and injured civilians. We will also ship generators, gas heaters, and solar-powered lanterns to communities experiencing harsh winters without electricity. We can continue our support for shelters in Kyiv for women and LGBT communities," said Giles Duley, General Director of the Legacy of War foundation.
