This is what a wife of one of the Ukrainian defenders, Natalya Zorytska, said during the summary briefing in Istanbul:
“There’s a line between freedom and captivity, life and death, the light and the dark! Right now the whole world is collaborating to fight the evil, to rescue our soldiers from the claws of the Evil!”
She also informed about the intent of Ukrainian wives and mothers of the soldiers defending Azovstal to create an organization to fight for the rights of Ukrainian defenders taken hostage.
“We are going to reach out to the mothers of the Russian soldiers. We are going to reach out to the whole world to support and follow the rules of the Geneva Convention.”
